Annual plan 2026

At its meeting on December 10, 2025, the Maasheggen Unesco Steering Committee adopted the Annual Plan 2026 .
The four spearheads of the 2026 annual plan are:

• preparing the renewal application for Unesco MAB status;
• the further expansion of involvement and participation of residents and partners in the Maasheggen area;
• build a bridge between science, research and education and the Maasheggen area ;
• the elaboration and implementation of over 60 projects and processes in the areas of agriculture, nature, recreation, health and livability

Project leaders are responsible for the funding and process of their project(s). The program team helps to make connections between projects, maintains contacts with the initiators and, together with them, monitors the progress of the projects.
