In De Maasheggen there is also plenty for children to discover and experience. From exciting treasure hunts and family tours to nature activities, excursions and workshops in the oldest cultural landscape in the Netherlands. Children learn about nature, landscape and culture in a playful manner. They discover why the characteristic hedgerows have been important for centuries, which animals live there and how special this UNESCO Man & Biosphere area really is.

Via MaasheggenKids.nl all activities for children are conveniently grouped together. Think of the Secret Maasheggen Trail, IVN activities, an earthworm expedition, parent-child workshops Maasheggen weaving and fun routes for families.

De Maasheggen is also becoming increasingly popular at schools. MaasheggenKids has developed the educational program Kansrijk Schoolaanbod Maasheggen, which allows students to discover their own living environment not only in the classroom but also outside.
