The story of the Maasheggen is not finished; it is time for a new chapter.
The opportunities provided by the status of UNESCO biosphere reserve fit perfectly with the ambitions for the Maasheggen as described in the Northern Meuse Valley Implementation Program (2016), drawn up jointly with the area partners, in which The Maasheggen plays a key role. The purpose of the integral Northern Meuse Valley Implementation Program is to work jointly on coherent goals in the areas of economy, housing, tourism & recreation, landscape, cultural history, agriculture, water and sustainability. This implementation program is a solid foundation for cooperation in the area. The implementation program describes the ambitions, goals and projects for the area.
