Sightseeing
It sometimes seems as if time has stood still for hundreds of years. That does not mean there is nothing to experience now. Quite the contrary! The Maasheggen are 2000 hectares in size and now have a total of almost 300 km of hedges, 25 km of which are braided. Many paths wind through the area, much of it unpaved. Ideal for discovering this special cultural and natural landscape.
The Maasheggen is more than just nature. The area is also rich in special attractions. from a bird-watching hut at the Kraaijenbergse Plassen to art in public spaces (Kapellenbaan) and from religious heritage (monasteries, churches and chapels) to the weir at Sambeek.
