Land van Cuijk Boert Bewust celebrates anniversary at Maasheggen farmer Van Bree's home
On Friday, Oct. 4, Deputy Marc Oudenhoven unveiled a Land van Cuijk Boert Bewust sign at the dairy farm of the Van Bree family in Vortum-Mullem. The unveiling was part of the celebration of the fifth anniversary of Land van Cuijk Boert Bewust.
Besides Marc Oudenhoven, Noëlle Aarts, professor at Radboud University and for many years a member of the scientific board of De Maasheggen, the aldermen Mark Janssen van Gaal and Antoinette Maas and more than 100 other guests were guests at the farm of the Van Bree family.
Land van Cuijk Boert Bewust works under the motto "doing it together is growing together" to strengthen the relationship between farmers, market gardeners and society. The organization does this by, among other things, organizing open days, hosting dinners and lunches on the farm and in the villages and inviting school classes to visit farms and the Taste Center.
There are now 30 farmers affiliated with Land van Cuijk Boert Bewust. Among them are Peter and Suzanne van Bree. They are happy to open their farm in the Maasheggengebied to visitors who want to take a look in the cowshed or tap fresh milk. Eventually they would also like to start nature-inclusive farming.
