End of November hedge planting Maasheggen Beautiful

In late November, a large group of volunteers will go into the field to plant a total of 2.5 kilometers of new Maasheggen. The planting material was purchased with the proceeds from Maasheggen Mooi. The action was set up by Lars van Peij from Oeffelt. Lars has been affected by the incurable Huntington's disease. The employee of Vereniging Nederlands Cultuurlandschap would like to leave something for future generations and therefore set up a fundraiser to plant new hedges in his working area, De Maasheggen,. The crowdfunding raised nearly 17,000 euros.
It is now known when and where the hedges will be planted. On Nov. 20, work will begin in the southern part of the Looijdal Zuid. The next day the hedges will be planted in the northern part of the Looijdal. In the following days, planting will take place in the Rijenjes (November 22), the Schoenmakers plot (November 23), the Cultural Historical Monument (November 27), De Loerangel (November 28) and the area around St. Anna (November 30). Only the date of the planting action in Saint Agatha remains to be determined.
