MaasheggenKids lets kids discover Maasheggen

In De Maasheggen there is also plenty for children to discover and experience. Many organizations are active in the area, each with their own offerings. To ensure that children can easily find everything there is to do, an online site has been created where all activities for children in the Maasheggen are conveniently grouped together: Maasheggenkids.nl

Activities for children

How well do you know the Maasheggen? During the NK Maasheggenvlechten, pick up a discovery trail and pen at the MaasheggenKids info tent and crack the safe! By doing MaasheggenKids activities and answering questions, you collect numbers. Together they form a code with which you can open the MaasheggenKids Safe. Inside this safe is something fun for you! And there is much more. How about a macro photography workshop with your mobile (from MaasheggenKids), picking out owl pellets, making your own bow and arrow and shooting and discovering nature with all your senses (IVN). Children can also bake bread over the campfire and go on a beaver excursion (Staatsbosbeheer), get a dike warden's diploma (water board), sculpt with river clay and braid willow twigs (IVN). And there are alpacas, sheep, lambs, cattle and draft horses that love to be admired.

NK Maasheggenvlechten

All these children's activities will take place on the grounds of the 18th Dutch Championship Maasheggenvlechten. The NK will take place on Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Portal De Vilt on the Beugenseweg in Oeffelt.
