Field excursion managers Maasheggen

Recently, the managers of many hedges and lands in the Maasheggengebied took a field trip. While walking through the southern part of De Maasheggen, they talked about the vitality of the hedges, the creation of "vistas" for walkers and cyclists, the installation of fences, ash-tree mortality and how to deal with the presence of the beaver in the area. Much attention was also paid to coordinating the maintenance of ditches and hedge management.
The field excursion was attended by representatives of Vereniging Nederlands Cultuurlandschap, Staatsbosbeheer, Stichting Landschapsbeheer Boxmeer, Waterschap Aa en Maas, municipality Land van Cuijk, province of Noord-Brabant and a number of private landowners.
