Practice for NK Maasheggenvlechten 2024
Stichting Landschapsbeheer Boxmeer (Slabox) organizes, in preparation for the Dutch Championship Maasheggenvlechten in 2024, a number of practice mornings. Anyone wishing to learn the craft of hedge weaving is welcome to attend these practice mornings.
During such a practice morning you will learn the technique of cutting, felling, laying and braiding the hawthorn bushes. Attending experienced instructors will help participants learn the technique of braiding. Tools, gloves and safety glasses are provided each practice morning. However, it is preferred that everyone bring their own tools. Practice sessions start at 9 a.m. and last until 12:30 p.m. During practice, Slabox will provide coffee, tea and cake for each participant.
By sending a message to maasheggenvlechten@hotmail.com you can sign up, stating your name, phone number and how many people you wish to participate. A few days before the practice morning you will receive an email informing you where the practice session will take place and any further information that may be of interest.

- Feb. 3, 2024
- Feb. 17, 2024
- March 2, 2024.
Saturday morning, Feb. 24, 2024, is a "reserve day.
Should you like it, you can participate in the Dutch Championship Maasheggenvlechten on March 10, 2024.
